PLAYING FIELDS COMMITTEE 23 APRIL 2026 PLAYING FIELDS CONTRACTORS 1. East End Grass Cutting For the last few years the Council has engaged Dave Childs, a local contractor trading as Dependable Dave, to cut the grass in the East End field and playground. There is no formal contract, but the work is carried out monthly during the growing season and invoices are submitted and discharged on a monthly basis. The charges are reasonable for the work undertaken and are taken from the East End grass cutting budget of £1,000 which was underspent by £385 at the end of the 2025/26 [...]
