Old Hall 3-5pm, Constable Ambisonic – Kate Carr
A live performance by Kate responding to a recording made at the location of one of John Constable’s paintings.
As part of the Constable Ambisonic project, sound artist Stuart Bowditch has been making 360º spatial audio recordings of the locations of 20 paintings by John Constable. You’ll be able to hear stereo versions of these recordings at ‘The Hay Wain: Walking Constable’s Landscape’ exhibition at Christchurch Mansions in Ipswich from July. There will also be a series of six live events to listen to the ambisonic recordings, that will include sonic performances by commissioned artists responding to the recording.
