You may have spotted our “In Our View” banners starting to appear around the village  — marking the start of our celebration of 250 years of John Constable.

The “In Our View” title reflects exactly what this programme is about: the landscapes we see around us, and how they inspired Constable’s work right here in East Bergholt 

Our “In Our View” programme brings together a wide range of events throughout the year — celebrating the creativity, history and community spirit of the village as part of this special anniversary.

There are already lots of events included in the In Our View calendar on our website, with more being added — so do take a look and see what’s coming up.

We’re also expecting more visitors to the area and look forward to sharing the beauty of our surroundings, helping everyone appreciate just how important this landscape is, both nationally and locally.
