B1070 Safety Update – East Bergholt

We wanted to give everyone an update on our ongoing efforts to improve safety along the B1070 through the village.
Following a recent meeting with SCC Highways officers, progress is being made:
Updated design drawings have been shared and will be reviewed by SCC Highways.
Officers will liaise with our representatives as the proposals are refined.
Discussions also included introducing a 20mph speed limit, though it may take more work to get full approval.We continue to push for a safer, calmer road through the village and are following up closely to make sure the plans and officers are aligned with the community’s needs. Your safety remains our top priority!
