Item 13.3 Persistent and vexatious.pdf

EAST BERGHOLT PARISH COUNCIL Persistent or Vexatious Correspondenceand/Complaints Policy This policy is similar to many others which have been adopted by Parish Councils and local authorities across the country to address a matter of increasing concern. It aims to help protect individual council employees and elected representatives (councillors) from the impact of receiving excessive amounts of persistent and vexatious correspondence in the course of their duties. Such correspondence might come from a single source or multiple sources but the negative effect on the recipients can become a matter of real concern to those individuals personally, as well as consuming disproportionate [...]

Item 11.1 Conserv Area PC 12-2-26.pdf

In 2021, as part of the Neighbourhood Plan revision, EBPC commissioned the “Historic Landscape Survey of East Bergholt and The Cultural Legacy of East Bergholt” report. This report highlighted the international status of our village landscapes. We can still see today the same scenes that Constable painted and made famous over 200 years ago. As a result of this report, in Spring 2025, Babergh District Council jointly with EBPC commissioned the “East Bergholt Conservation Area Appraisal” report in order to assess the value of conserving this landscape. This report summarises the option to extend East Bergholt’s conservation area to conserve [...]

Asset of Community Value After a meeting of residents at Old Hall last year, parish councillors promised to consider applying to make the old Co-Op shop an asset of community value. After taking advice from officers at Babergh, there is a reasonable chance of a successful application so the Parish Clerk and I have started gathering [...]
