Regular Payments

1. At every Council meeting a schedule of payments due for the previous month
is submitted for approval. Many of these payments are regular recurring ones
as a result of contractual arrangements between the Council and the payees.

2. Payments of this nature are made by the Clerk prior to formal approval by the
Council in order to be timely, particularly in respect of salaries and monthly
contract payments to contractors and utilities etc.

3. Financial Regulation 5.6 provides that for each financial year the Clerk shall
draw up a list of such payments to enable the Council to authorise payments
for the year, provided the other requirements of Financial Regulations are
adhered to.

4. The regular payments for 2025/26 are as follows:

5. It is RECOMMENDED that the Clerk be authorised to make the regular
payments listed in this report together with any new contractual or statutory
obligations of a regular nature without prior approval but subject to
subsequent report to Council.
