Proposal for a Village Assembly in East Bergholt

East Bergholt Parish Council is developing a proposal to introduce a Village Assembly — bringing together the many organisations, groups and volunteers who help make our village such a vibrant and connected community.
The aim is to strengthen communication, encourage collaboration and help identify local needs and opportunities to work together. 
The Assembly would meet three times a year, bringing together representatives from:
Village halls, churches and schools
Clubs, societies, sports groups and arts organisations
Volunteers, event organisers and local charities
Community groups and organisations across the villageMeetings would provide an opportunity to share upcoming events, highlight challenges, discuss support needs and explore ways to work together — including areas such as the village events calendar, youth provision, community spaces, volunteering and local initiatives.
Over time, the Assembly could help create shared resources, improve communication between groups and support exciting new community projects. 
We look forward to developing this idea further and working with our local organisations to continue making East Bergholt a thriving place to live.
