Prior to the meeting commencing P Vergo gave notification of his resigning from the group but
remains happy to give advice if needed. PV wishes to pursue safety outside the High School without
waiting for NP being adopted. PV left the zoom.

CC welcomed new member FM

2) Matters arising 27 July 2022 –
NR Item 3d – P Isbel had offered a meeting. To be arranged and report back next meeting

3) PJA Transport report
NR – PJA will give costings for all their interventions; will include effects of 241 new
houses in EB, plus the growth in surrounding villages; make priorities easier to identify;
have regard to this being our NP evidence base. When have report group to decide what
take to PC and then to village. PJA to be asked to contribute to village meeting.
JM,JL,NR,MH,CC to have face to face planning meeting on village/PC presentations.

4) Progress Update
a) NR –We met with Una from Aecom early August and she took away a new brief as original
not followed completely. VA to ask Una how getting on.
b) Village meeting covered above
c) CC – low return on sustainability survey. Better launch needed on future surveys.

d) & e) CT – Attended Hadleigh heating meeting in July – not looking at a community heating
strategy. ENE Ariel mapping am chasing but lead has moved to Ipswich and £100,000
returned to government. Call from SCC asking EB to ask for grant £1000 to finish PV
battery case?? – requires submitting Expression of Interest for them to come back saying
you can apply! Research Network Project to set up network of potential partners, EB to be
invited, could end up as a talking shop. SCC David Walton sending grant forms. Base
Community Heating Initiatives may be open to EB if there is an area to pursue. Suggest PC
write to Peter Gubby as he is very knowledgeable. CT has written one page on Community
Power Benefit, Peter Gubby would support us as no off-the-shelf solution. Ofgen address
scheme for communities to apply for £50,000 to 1million. CT happy to put his professional
time to this. Ground pump for houses to plug into, how feasible for EB? CT to investigate
Ofgen and Base.
f) Idea of purchasing thermal imaging camera dropped due to admin and training
requirements
g) Village meeting covered above.
h) PC has signed up to Parishes-on-line.
MH & JL left the meeting
i) CC had circulated 28 September webinar from RSPB & AONB. CT to see if new lodger
interested. BM & EK to be advised.
