Dear East Bergholt Parish Council.
I am writing to apply for a grant to help with the increased
running costs for our toddler group at church. This is for young
mums with babies from East Bergholt and provides a very
important role in supporting the new mums. Giving them an
opportunity to meet and discuss any problems. Grandparents are
also welcome. The interaction between the new crawlers is vital to
children’s developments. This also allows time to relax with our
experienced team that help with play and supply refreshments.
The numbers present range from 4 to 10 adults and a variety of
children up to as many as 10. We hope that by increasing the
frequency we may attract some new mums into the group as it is
the only under 5 group in the village at the moment.

The costs of the monthly group cover, heating, lighting, the water
heater for washing hands in the toilet, including the baby
changing. Also, Kettles and coffee machine. I estimate this to be
about £4.72 per session.
Other costs include the refreshments, fruit for the children and
tea coffee etc for the adults. These costs are about £7.86
There will be an additional 10 sessions over the trial period, so
we are asking if the Parish Council could please consider
covering the additional costs, which will total £125.80. We would
also be very grateful if the council would consider covering the
costs of the 3 sessions that we would normally have taken place,
making the total £163.54.
