Vacancy-Cemetery Groundsperson

Alan Nicholson, the Cemetery Groundsperson has decided to retire after a long stint
of service. It is therefore necessary to recruit to this post from March 2025.
A job description for this post is attached, this contains details of the hours required
during the winter and summer months and salary information, which has been
calculated using the SALC scale. The Committee is asked to approve/amend the job
description
Alan has worked as an independent contractor which has been very satisfactory. The
Committee should determine whether it wishes to seek another independent
contractor or an employee or give applicants the opportunity to state a preference.
