Planning

East Bergholt Parish Council receives planning applications from Babergh District Council at which we are asked to make a recommendation for approval or refusal, using our knowledge of the village and the impact possible changes could make.

Decisions on planning matters are made at a properly convened meetings of either the Full Council.

All applications must be compliant with the Babergh Local Development Framework and Local Plan 2011-2031 Core Strategy and Policies.
Please see attached link which will take you to the Babergh District Council website where you may view the information. Some of these are very large documents so be cautious if planning to print.

Records on all planning decisions can be found filed in the relevant meeting from the council papers page or on the Babergh Planning Portal
