East Bergholt Parish Council
Logo Concept – Rationale
16/09/26
Rooted in East Bergholt
This concept takes visual inspiration from the In Our View identity,
carrying forward its typefaces and colours to create a sense of
continuity with the previous celebration of John Constable and his
connection to East Bergholt.
At the heart of the identity is a simple line illustration of a tree,
enclosed within a frame. The tree reflects the village’s strong
connection to its landscape, while the frame creates a subtle link
back to In Our View and the idea of looking at, celebrating and
representing East Bergholt.
Within the shape of the tree, the forms of an “EB” are subtly
concealed, creating a distinctive brandmark that feels rooted in
the place it represents. The hidden lettering rewards a closer look,
while keeping the overall mark simple, recognisable and versatile.
In essence, the concept builds on the visual language of In Our View
while creating something new for the Parish Council – a mark that
represents East Bergholt as a place, its landscape and its community,
with the village itself quietly embedded within the identity.
