In Our View/Constable 250 update

Branding graphics
Clubb Creative created a number of strong design options – the preferred two were 1. graphics
based around the concept of different shaped picture frames and 2. graphics based around a
camera view-finder.
The In Our View village working group (PC, Church, NT, EBSoc and Constable Hall) decided to
ask Clubb Creative to amalgamate aspects of both concepts into one final design which will also
feature a Constable painting in the printed banners.

Our website
First use of the new graphics will be on our website – hopefully by the end of November. There
will be a new logo on the home page which links to a dedicated In Our View page which will
feature a Constable painting, a short introduction to the In Our View idea – plus a simple month-
by-month calendar of planned events. These dates will be inputted by the Assistant Clerk. This
calendar will start as a basic planning tool – but will eventually become a list of all village events
with links to dedicated pages/booking etc. There will also be links to other organisations such as
the EB Society, the National Trust, and the official Constable 250 events group. Plus, there will
be a link to the graphics so that village organisations/businesses can download/use them for
their events.

Dates
The first official Constable 250 event in Ipswich starts on March 28, 2026. Dates for village
events are being confirmed – starting at Easter with a likely concentration in May and June
especially June 7-14. Constable’s birthday is June 11.
(The village summer fair is on Sunday, June 14)

Budget
The parish council previously agreed a budget of £5,000 for the In Our View project (Budget
request 09.09.2025)
The graphics final cost is likely to be around £1,200. We need to reserve funds for printed
material – banners, posters etc.
We also need to arrange/fund additional hours by our Media Consultant to help create publicity
strategies for organisations such as the EB Society and Constable Hall.
