Notice of meeting/Summons – You are summoned to the Extraordinary Meeting of East Bergholt
Parish Council which will take place on Monday 29 March 2021 at 7.30 pm. The meeting will be
conducted by digital conference call pursuant to The Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels
(Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and
Wales) Regulations 2020.

AGENDA

OPEN PUBLIC SESSION – Prior to commencement of the Council’s business, the opportunity will be given to
members of the public to make representations to the Council or to ask questions.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE – To receive any apologies for absence.

2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS OR DISPENSATIONS – To receive any declarations of interest or consider
any written requests for dispensation.

3. RED LION CAR PARK AND TOILETS – The Clerk to report on the service of a Notice under Section 146 of
the Law of Property Act 1925 (attached) and actions taken subsequently.

4. URGENT COMMUNICATIONS – To consider any other matters of sufficient urgency and importance which
the Chairman of the Council allows.

5. RESOLUTION TO EXCLUDE THE PUBLIC (INCLUDING THE PRESS) – it be proposed that pursuant to
the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and the Local Government Act 1972 Sections 100 and
102, the public (including the press) be excluded from the meeting as publicity would be prejudicial to the
public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

6. RED LION CAR PARK AND TOILETS – To consider legal advice received (circulated previously) and
financial considerations.
