HELP US SLOW DOWN IN EAST BERGHOLT!
Published On: October 2, 2026
Earlier this year, we introduced two simple ways for residents to help remind drivers to slow down and take extra care on our village roads — and we’d now like to know if you’d like one at your home.
30mph WHEELIE-BIN STICKERSOur free 30mph stickers are available for residents to put on their wheelie bins, helping to keep the message visible around the village on bin collection days.
You can collect up to two free stickers per household from the Parish Council offices:
East Bergholt Parish Council, Unit 4CD, The Gattinetts, Hadleigh Road, CO7 6QT
Opening times: Monday–Thursday, 10am–3pm
ANTI-SPEEDING BOARDSWe also have our colourful anti-speeding signs, designed by local schoolchildren and displayed on estate-agent-style boards, which can be placed outside residents’ homes.
Would you like one?
If you live in East Bergholt and would be happy to have an anti-speeding board outside your home, please contact Louise, our Assistant Clerk, at:
assistant.clerk@eastbergholtpc.co.ukWhether it’s a sticker on your bin or a sign outside your home, every little reminder helps us spread the message:
PLEASE SLOW DOWN — OUR VILLAGE IS HOME TO ALL OF US.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported this community road-safety initiative, and to our local schoolchildren for creating such eye-catching designs.
Would you like a sticker or a board? Let us know!
