What Are Our Community Service Events — and Why Do We Run Them? 🌟
Did you know, every other month, East Bergholt Parish Council brings a wide range of community services directly into the village — making support easier, friendlier, and more accessible for everyone. 💙
Many residents have told us:
“I don’t know where to go.”
“I can’t get there.”
“I didn’t know support existed.”
That’s exactly why we run these events. ✅
We want every resident to have equal access to local services that can help with health, wellbeing, finances, safety, and daily living.
🏡 Who comes along?
It varies each time — but services can include:
• Feel Good Suffolk
• Social Prescribing Team
• Citizens Advice
• The NHS B-Well Bus
• Suffolk Carers
• Slipper Swap
• Suffolk Fire Service
…and many more.
✨ A great example from last month:
The B-Well Bus visited The Lambe School, offering health checks, winter wellbeing advice, the slipper swap, Citizens Advice, Suffolk Carers, and more.
One resident came just for the slipper swap and ended up speaking to four different services, discovering far more support than they ever expected.
Feedback was fantastic — “brilliant”, “answered all my questions”, “I’ve got lots to follow up on”, and even “they’ll come to my house!” 🙌
