Planning

At its meeting every month, East Bergholt Parish Council considers current planning applications and makes recommendations to Babergh District Council for approval or refusal.  These recommendations are based on planning policy in the local and Neighbourhood Plans.

Burial Grounds

The Parish Council maintain two cemeteries in the village.  These are the churchyard of St Mary’s Church, which is now a closed churchyard and the cemetery behind the village car park.  Burial records in East Bergholt date back to 1855.

Playing Fields

East Bergholt is responsible for two playing fields and two playgrounds in the village.  They are located at Gandish Road and East End.  All are overseen by the Playing Fields Committee.

Village Car Park

The village car park is situated off The Street in the village centre, located at the rear of The Lion Public House.  Parking is not restricted and is free. The car park is managed by East Bergholt Parish Council. Click here if you need to contact us.
